Jessica Alba was quite the golden goddess at this year’s Met Gala. The “Dear Eleanor” actress arrived to the white tie affair to honor the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” exhibit with a beyond beautiful look that included a pale gold lace Diane von Furstenberg gown, shimmering jewels, a retro sculpted ‘do, and makeup that was given the Midas touch by Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen.
“Jessica is wearing a beautiful gold lace dress by DVF, so I wanted her makeup to look fresh and luminous. We wanted to create a monochromatic look so I used gold on her eyes so that everything looks seamless,” Lauren said of the inspiration behind the look.
FACE: Lauren used Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Moisture Foundation and Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer Concealer as a base to prepare Jessica’s skin. She then applied Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Powder in Candlelight to highlight the bridge of her nose before finishing with mineral LORAC TANtalizer® Baked Bronzer on the cheeks.
EYES: After using Votre Vu Arch De Triumphe Brow Definer wax on Jessica’s brows, Lauren blended Avon Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow in Khaki Chic on the lids to create a golden look. She then layered on the lighter shade from the Avon Eye Dimensions Eyeshadow in Bronze Star. Lauren lined Jessica’s eyes with Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner in Intense Brown and finished with Avon Mega Effects Mascara in Black.
LIPS: Lauren gave Jessica a neutral lip to balance out the tones with the Avon Ultra Color Absolute Lipstick in Caramel Comfort.
